Recent Trips: The Zoo

Visited the local zoo recently to test out a large telephoto lens I had rented. I always enjoy photographing at the zoo to practice my skills. Between bad lighting, various obstructions such as fences, plexiglass enclosures and people, it usually is very tricky getting “the shot”. I was very impressed with lens quality, although it was too big and heavy for my tastes.
